Therapy in English

Do you say yes when you actually mean no? Do you prioritize others' needs over your own? Do you feel guilty for what you feel? Does self-criticism haunt you? Do you feel like you keep stumbling over the same stone over and over again? Do you feel bad and don't know why?

If you identify with these situations, you’ve probably already tried many ways to find a solution, though without the success you hoped for. In Conscientemente, we help you find a solution in the fastest, most efficient, and constructive way.

We propose working together to let go of control, avoidance, demands, rigidity, self-criticism, perfectionism, and all the attempts that haven’t helped you achieve a more flexible, adaptive, and satisfying way of functioning.

What will you achieve with psychotherapy?

  • Understanding how the mind and emotions work because understanding is relief
  • Understanding the function of the symptom, giving it a new meaning so that it becomes an opportunity for learning and personal improvement
  • Learning to be present in the here and now, to become aware of what is happening and see more clearly
  • Cultivating internal listening to provide yourself with what you need at every moment
  • Increasing self-awareness and self-acceptance, recognizing and integrating your history and all the facets that make up who you are
  • Learning to develop your capacity for self-help and self-care, enhancing your skills to face difficult situations
  • Taking actions in line with your values that lead you to the change you need to live a full and satisfying life
  • Improving your relationship with yourself, with others, and with the world by practicing compassion

What does an individual psychotherapy process consist of?

Individual psychotherapy is a process of intervention, support, and change for your personal improvement. The therapeutic space is a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable and free to share and be yourself.

In the initial sessions, we will talk about you and the reasons that bring you to therapy, exploring both the current context and the history of the problem. After assessing the problem, we will design realistic goals that you will work on at your own pace so that you can achieve the change you desire.

Sessions typically last between 50-60 minutes and occur on a weekly or biweekly basis, depending on the symptoms and your needs, with the frequency decreasing as you achieve your objectives.

The duration of the therapeutic process varies depending on the individual and the problem being worked on, so the process will last as many sessions as necessary until you feel as you desire or achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
